Hello, I'm new around here.
I have recently upgraded my PC from a Pentium 3 to a Pentium 4. I replaced the mainboard, CPU, PSU, RAM and video card, but kept my old HDD, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, soundcard and modem. This was the first time I'd done a major upgrade, so I took the time to make sure everything was wired and seated properly.
Since booting the system I have had no problems or conflicts. However, on two occasions my PC has started itself and I'm not sure why. I initially put it down to a power surge, but I have been wondering if anything else could be responsible. After shutting my computer down I usually leave it plugged in at the mains outlet via a 4 socket extension.
Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated...many thanks in advance.
