More about password external harddrive
  1. goto bios select SECURITY option then select hard drive password.
  2. Use True Crypt to secure your external drive.
  3. Or just disconnect it and lock it in a drawer.
  4. You will want to use TrueCrypt

First you will want to create a small partition on your external hard disk to keep the truecrypt installation file, then you can encrypt the rest of the drive as one partition. this way you can easily install truecrypt on any computer that you plug the external drive into so you can access the data.
