More about laptop battery charging
  1. if you have replaced the charger and the battery and its still not charging then its time for a new laptop...
  2. The battery charging is controlled by an electronic circuit on the laptop's motherboard. When it fails you have to either replace the motherboard or get it repaired. The repair would probably cost more than the laptop is worth, but you could replace the motherboard yourself, they are available for around $100. The procedure is a little complicated but Acer provide good disassembly manuals.

You would need tools, small philips screw driver and an antistatic wristband are recommended...
