i wish to upgrade my via kt133a based motherboard to a newer board with kt266a or higher.
could i still use my pc133 sdram memory on the new board?

not with a KT266A chipset - there are some with the SIS 735 that will take either SDR or DDR like the <A HREF="http://www.ecs.com.tw/products/k7s5a.htm" target="_new">ECS K7S5A</A> but IMO it's better to upgrade your RAM as well.

I'd jump straight up to an nForce2 board. Of course their's always the MSI 745 Ultra for those on a budget. Either one requires DDR.
