I just purchased a pc with Windows 7. The first time it tried to update it crashed and I had to reload the program to get it to run. Since then, I have tried all the resolutions and downloaded 71 updates. It still shuts off when it updates or when I try to install a new program. Please help me.

Try running a power-hog program, like Prime95, or one of the free 3DMarks (2005, 2006)

If it shutdowns then, it means your PSU is bad/overloaded, or there's a problem with the CPU+cooler, and it overheats (which triggers the automatic shutdown)

In which case, you need to get the computer to a service center, if you are clueless about these things.
