I upgraded to Win. 2000 recently and it won't allow me playing most 3d games without entering something called "Safe Mode", which kills hardware acceleration. Already checked my DirectX, OpenGL and general hardware settings- but found no obvious problem. Any ideas to make my ATI Radeon 8500 work? Kinda sad can't get anything out of the card :(

ATI said that you can try changing yout PCI latency down to 10 and that might help, but no guarantees. If you have an ALI chipset on your motherboard, forget it. They (ATI)won't work with them.
