Ethernet Cable

Hello, my laptop suddenly refuses to work with my ethernet cable. It used to work before. When i plug in the ethernet cable to my laptop the LED on the port won't light up. I also tried detecting the ethernet cable through device manager and can't find it anywhere, please help!

i did, and its not the cable since other cables dont work on this laptop but they work on other laptops
