so my router is literally 44 ft away from my pc, ps3 and xbox 360 and my download/upload speed just sucks and i mean sucks i get about 5 kb's per sec on all my downloads ( this is on a good day too). so i was looking at a NETGEAR - RangeMax Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch and plan on using a ethernet for the best connection. if this is not the best for the money please tell me which is for the same price or cheaper :) . but i really want a router for the best download and upload speed.

It is a fine router it will do pretty much the same as other in the same price range.

Why would you expect it to work any different than your current one. If you cable your devices now it will run exactly the same as if you cable them to the new device. The Gig ports will make no difference at all for internet surfing since I doubt you have 100m internet. The only way the gig ports make a difference if you were coping data to a storage device inside your house
