I thought people usually parted out "non-working" things. Why not sell it
instead of breaking up an allegedly working machine? Oh, and by the way, do
you EVER have any input in any topic other than your own sales posts? That
seems rather rude, if not.

Because it's more profitable to butcher the machines than it is to sell
them whole. That's what's _really_ sad.

The worst are the 350 machines, which are being mutilated to use the
electronics as "mike preamps." And the transports are basically discarded.

Yeah, an AG440 doesn't even have great toob preamps. There's another
guy here thinking about getting a TASCAM 38. Maybe he'd be interested
in it.

But to answer your real question, Mark is looking to make money on
the used gear he gets, and the sad truth is that you can probably get
more money for an AG440-8 as parts than you can as a going machine.

There's this for $1800 (that nobody bought):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d [...] eName=WDVW

Is that a fair price on these things?
