Securing lynksys router

Hello,
I do not have a manual for our router. I do not, therefore, know the username, password or the number to use as a web address, which is what Kim Komando is telling me I need. How can I secure the router so no one else can log on to my network? Thank you!

Open a cmd prompt. Type in ipconfig /all
Type the default gateway into your IE explorer url. EX: 192.168.1.1
It will ask you for a username / pass *here is a list of the default lynksys pass / logins*
