Can I use a Switch to Split my Internet?

Im about to move into a sleepout which is about 20 metres away from the router. I was thinking of laying a network cable out to my room which would connect to a switch then use network cables to connect up my PS3, TV and Computer. Is this all going to work?
Will the devices have internet? Will they be able to see eachother? Will they be able to see other computers on the router?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

It will work fine as long as you are plunging it into a router. The lan ports on a router are really a switch so adding another switch just adds more ports.
