N300 slow to download anything

Please Help! My download speed takes forever on my Acer laptop. We just signed up for Net Flix an it take 30 min. to download a movie on my laptop an TV

It sounds like you need to troubleshoot your wireless network.

If you connect with an Ethernet cable to the router are your downloads fast?

Your wireless network may just be getting a lot of interference from other networks and other stuff that operates on the 2.4GHz band like wireless baby monitors, speakers, headphones, telephones, and microwave ovens.

You can download a free app and run it on your laptop to see all the other nearby networks and what channels that they are using: http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/ Run it and see if what your wireless network channel and strength are and if there are a lot of others on that channel. It is easy to change the wireless channel on your router to avoid the other networks.

Also, you wireless router may just have poor range and need to have an access point attached to improve its coverage area.
