My Window 7 isn't compatible with Canon MF4100

Help! I own a Canon printer series MF 4100, however, it isn't compatible with my laptop, which is Windows 7 64 bit. When I plug in the USB connector, I can't install the printer since there is no sign of a USB connecting with my laptop. When I triedd to print something, the name of the printer is absent on the list even when I connected it.

The problem is, it used to work on my laptop, despite it being Windows 7 64 bit. That was until I reinstall win7 a few days ago, and this happened.

Can you please help me?

Remember the driver needs to be loaded before you plug in the USB connector so it can see the printer.

Thank you! That was the best advice ever! I re-plugged the USB connector into the PC and the drivers SAW the printer!
