where to enter ip address in windows 7

Go to the Start Button. Select Help and Support. Enter "change TCP/IP settings" in the search field and follow the links provided.

Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change Adapter Settings

Right-click the LAN or wireless adapter for which you need to set the address and choose 'properties' from the context menu. Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) - assuming your using this protocol like most of us - and then click properties. This will bring you to a screen where you can manually enter your IP settings.
