Hi guys,

I have a Lenovo laptop, and all of a sudden the wireless just vanishes.

I notice that just before it cuts out, the music I am playing stutters for about 10 - 15 seconds before it happens. when it happens it cant detect any wireless and when i try to trouble shoot the issue it just tells me to plug in an ethernet cable.

I check the wireless adapter settings in the device manager and it's working fine, I uninstall and re install. same problem.

what I do find is, if I put the laptop to sleep and wake it up, it SOMETIMES works, but I can be doing this for 20 minutes or after one attempt.....

another weird thing is, if I start it in safe mode it works fine.

I have tried to look for all solutions on the web, tried everything, nothing works. currently it's working, but who knows it may cut out at any point...

Why is this happening??! it's quite annoying......

Have you tried setting your wireless adapter to not allow windows to power it down? From Device Manager, find your adapter under network adapters, right click, select properties and look at the Power Management tab. Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
