Would like group's opinion on a digital recorder w/CD burner -- ease of use
to CD end product, growth as industry standard, etc. Something like the
Boss, or Roland in that price range. Any good experiences?

Again, that's a loaded question your asking but I would look for something that
has its own on board hardrive and makes uncompressed audio. Stay away from
Boss, Zoom and other cheepies, I have a good sounding Tascam 788 but I'm having
some trouble with it. Not sure what the problem is but I have to send it back
to Tascam to get it fixed, I think it may be that I got it from Musicians
Friend. I've got damaged goods from them in the past, over all the recorder
sounded very good the one time I got to use it.
