Wifi in dorm rooms..

I'm planning to get a wireless router for my dorm room. Should I set my router as a wireless access point or just as a wireless router?

  1. In some ways it is better to run as a router. You machine would be hidden behind the NAT address so others on the network could not be hacking on your machine. Most likely it won't make a difference one way or another. The only reason you would HAVE to run as a router is if they limited you to a single mac/ip address.
