WD, 80gig, 8 meg buffer vs RAID 0

Hey all,
Ok 80 gig Western Digital vs two IBM120GXPs in a raid. The two GXPs are 80gigs each but I'm no where near filling either up so drive SIZE isn't a concern. My concern is performance. Booting, running apps and games. How does an 80gig 8meg buff drive stand up again the raid array?

How would any single drive stack up against 2 others in raid.
Seek times and small reads/writes would be similar, but sustained reads and writes on the raid array would smoke the poor single drive.
