I've recently built a computer for the first time (yay!), but overlooked the fact that the motherboard does not support wireless internet connection. I've found a wholesaler in my region, and so I just wanted to check - will this product allow me to connect to wireless internet? It's probably a silly question, but I just want to make absolutely sure - once bitten, twice shy :) .

EDIT: Whilst I'm asking, if that will allow me to access wireless networks would it be better or worse than this $20 one? I have no idea if the antenna makes a difference or not (as I say, I know nothing about these devices).

No that card is for a laptop with a slot for it. If you buil;t a laptop then you need a pci-e card or usb adaptor. Something like what's in the links below.
