The simplest solution should be to either add another network in bridged mode that is on the host network or virtually configure VMnet1 to the same subnet as the host subnet using the Virtual Network Editor in VMWare under the edit tab (in the bridged mode).

If you are trying to test bridging from the host to the guest, you can bridge the host to one of the VMWare adapters in the Windows 7 networking control panel, but that is not a good long term practice IMO.
