With generic drive rails, I've found that you need to make sure that you screw the rails into the right holes and that the rials are the correct way up

My case didn't come with any instructions either, just had to figure it out, put the rail on the CD drive, metal clip towards the faceplate curving away from the CD drive, the end of metal clip should almost be lining up with the backside of the faceplate on the CD drive, the holes in the rail should be lined up with the screwholes on the CD drive, put the screws in but don't tighten them yet, just slighty snug them, then with one finger pull the rail toward the faceplate, tight against the screws, and tighten the screws with the other hand, repeat the process with the other side of the CD drive and slide the drive into its bay until it snaps into lock position, it should go right in, this is a really nice case, very high quality, let me know if this helps you out. Aaah, I just love that case...I have a DX-01BD myself.
No problems installing the drives or anything.
