I have an Acer Aspire 8943g. Wireless will not work. Launch Manager shows wifi on, indicator button is red. Device manager (Atheros AR5B97)shows working properly and enabled, WLAN autoconfig shows started. Updated drivers. All to no avail. Wirelss is working on router as can connect via my phone. Windows 7 trouble shooter says turn wifi adapter on, tried adding wireless network and still nothing. I was a bit stupid as when I orginally got laptop I somehow disabled wireless from connecting automatically as it kept connecting to wifi when I have a wired connection but cannot remember what I did as over 18 months ago. Now need to connect wirelessly and cannot reactivate. Have tried unplugging wired network and connecting via wifi but not connection. Tried everything. Please help.
