With the demise of MS in this market, is there any news of whether
they will be releasing a firmware update for the MN-700 to enable
802.11i? I know the chip can support AEP, and I will be pretty upset
if MS bails on the update.

They have yet to release a firmware upgrade to address ANY of the many
problems encountered so far (although there are rumours that a firmware
upgrade is imminent). So I would think the chances of you getting support
for 802.11i are slim to none with 'none' leading. But that is just my
pessimisstic guess.

The chip may support AES but it is unknown if the processor can support it.
