Drive designation?

hi,
i'm a newbie saying hello! my question is: i have a SSD for OS(C and HDD(E:& F for other things. i've trying to load chrome & avg to E: but it always ends up on C:. this might be a old question but i haven't found the answer to it as yet! i would like it to be my default drive for the future programs(adobe, etc..,)

During the installation process, it will ask if you want to install to the default C/Program Files folder. At that point, you should be able to select an alternative drive.

i do remember be asked before where to send the file but this time around, there was no options? it went directly to C: drive!

Uninstall, and retry the installation again. It should give the option or select the option.

It won't give you that option for Windows updates, but should for any other downloads or installations.

i just installed office2007 and it went directly to C: drive. there was no option to where to install, ggrr! it seems i have to put the SSD on E: drive so it will leave it alone but i bet you windows will not boot.... there got to be another way of getting around this? is there a way to have the option of where to install?

Windows programs usually install into where the boot drive and system files are. But, in this case for office 2007, there is a custom install

Other programs usually, give a custom install.

i did see the custom install but was not sure if this was the way for different location. thx for the heads up! so that means i have to uninstall & reinstall?
