Hey all

So Virgin Media came today to set up a Superhub (Replacing our old dlink router and motorola cable modem, and moving our speed from 10mbps to 60mbps. All was fine with the installation, and speed tests checked out on my laptop and iphone, around 60mbps as expected.

I then set up my PC which is two floors up (in the same location my laptop dropped to 30-40mbps (On speedtest.net) which is to be expected. However my PC is receiving only 2-3mbps. The WiFi status page within windows says the speed is 58mbps and I have a full signal strength. My pc has a pci wifi card, with a multi-direction antenna attached via cable, which is sat on my window sill where it seems to get the best signal.

I can't understand why the connection is so slow? I have received download speeds of just over 1mb/s (so 8mbps+) before on this exact pc setup, now I'm struggling to get 200-300kb/s. I have checked for network card driver updates and I have fiddled with router channels but none have made a difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a ipconfig/all fyi

Nope, no effect, still below 2mbps. I have a temporary fix using my old notebook to patch it's own wireless connection to my PC via ethernet, that is giving me 17mbps. However my macbook is getting 50-60mbps

Edit- My phillips notebook as expected is getting 17-18mbps, so my computer is getting 95-100% of this.
