Does anyone have any experience using the old Dawn low profile satelite/sub
woofer sound system (which I believe is make by Kustom now). The
application would be for small rooms as vocal monitors or as a keyboard
personal monitor / instrument sound source. Keyboards are not run through
the FOH speakers.

Yes, I have a system...they're great but has some limitations...don't over power them ever or they'll blow...even though there are fuses in the subwoofer. Keep amp at 100 watts or less... no, don't use one bigger and just turn it down! You'll be sorry, trust me.

Great for smal to medium indoor or outdoor/deck patio gigs at moderate volumes. Not suited for adding/mixing drums or keyboard /bass.

I have many people come to me and ask : Where is the P.A.? It sounds great! I wish they still made the big series...I'd buy one.... so simple to set up and operate. Light weight! Well worth the money...I think Kustom is dropping the line...too bad! Great simple technology! Many cruise ship acts use them.

Hope this helped.....

Do you still know of anyone looking for one of these PA systems? I have one, and I love it. However, I just upgraded to a Bose L-1 system so don't need the Dawns anymore. Let me know if you know of anyone looking for one and I'll make them a good deal on it...
