Network Confusion

Hello, I have a small business network which is currently using a Linksys wrt160n wireless router to which I have ethernet lan connected multiple computers through Netgear Pro Safe 10/100 switches. My problem is that the Linksys device is totally insufficient for the task, now that we have 30 computers along with all of the personal devices using this access point. My question is, what level of secured ethernet vpn am I looking for. I intend to keep the Wireless router for guests and phones, ipads etc.

In your office are you able to have a wired network?
An office that I was working in had a combiation of wired and wireless and the wired part had a modem > firewall > 30 port switch , plus a wireless router connected out of one of the ports of the firewall.
