Hanging on "Starting Windows"...

My new build use to take 20-25secs to boot completely, but now it hangs on "Starting Windows".

What normally causes this? I don't think I've installed anything since it booted quickly. Can software updates do this? Any software avail to troubleshoot it?

Driver issues can cause this. Can you try using Windows Startup Repair?

I don't have a ton of stuff installed on my SSD drive. Just the OS, two games, a few other programs. I guess it won't be a big pain to redo it.

I'll probably start by unplugging everything, rebooting w/o externals, then maybe start reinstalling everything.

I thought I remember seeing software that timed everything while starting up and displayed it after the boot.

I think I fixed it... the new GTX580 driver was causing it.
