I have a Moto v551, Ambicom USB adaptor, XP SP2.
I followed the instructions to rename the Microsoft .inf file, downloaded
the latest drivers from Ambicom, running WIDCOMM ver 3.0.1.912
In Control panel it shows the WIDCOMM driver, not Microsoft.
I am able to get into my phone through the Bluetooth Places, move pics and
tones in and out, but when I run MPT, it stays at Discovering devices, with
the clock just spinning, never finding my phone.
I have restarted both, pulled the phone battery, running out of ideas, any
help?

MPT is very finnicky when it comes to BT. MPT sees and pairs with the
phone but when it tries to connect it turns on the BT in the phone but
never connects. I've had it happen enough so that I just use the USB
cable for MPT and then use BT when I'm moving pics or uploading Java
games. BT runs the battery down so fast that I have to ususally plug the
charger cable in anyway so it's no big deal.
