I have a friend that has a wireless router downstairs and his PC is upstairs so he has really weak signal. Is there anyway he can set up another modem next to his PC and run a Ethernet cable to his PC directly?
Thank you for any responses

Oh i see what your saying. But he has cable. So the MOCA is running physical Coaxial through the house?
If so it seems like the only way is to physically connect it to the router, because two routers would mess with eachothers signal.

Yes, MOCA is a little more expensive than powerline but usually gets better speeds.

MOCA uses the higher frequencies of the coaxial cable on the existing cable and does not interfere with the TV signal.

All splitters between the two MOCA devices need to be at least 2GHz, and some ISPs (like Verizon FIOS DSL) provide for MOCA so you only need one device in that case at the target computer upstairs.
