Anyone managed to upload/download anything from mobile phone to/from PC?
I have the V3 and the only thing I can do with MPT (Mobile Phone Tools) is to synchronize contacts.
When I call the "Multimedia Studio" (aka Mobile Explorer) I get a browser with my computer files, which I can
surf around but the "Mobile Phone" side isn't working. The 4 Tabs are there but when I click on them, I get no reaction.
If I select "Root folder" in the "My phone" tab, I get an error "Processing Failed".
Also, the 2 icons in the middle where, I think, I would have to click to transfer files between pc and mobile,
are greyed out.
Am I missing anything? Is there anything I can do to make any use of this software?
I want to upload some tones and pictures to the mobile and can't
Is there any other software around that can be used to upload/download files from a Motorola V3?

I'm doing all that with MPT on my v3 so I don't know why you're having a
problem. I use the Melody Maker for MP3 files and I've had no problem
moving pictures to/from the v3. You can try Data Pilot software or just
use a Bluetooth dongle. See my blog at http://brobin111.blogspot.com for
details on setting up BT if you do that.

I had the same problem, you may have to get the latest update for MPT
software & reconfigure your phone.
