I ran memtest last night on my dad's system. He has 256 mb pc133 generic ram. I've been encountering some stability problems so i decided to run the test. It ended up with about 300,000 errors after 3 hours.. Do you think this is bad memory?? hehe =)

Are you sure though?? I mean how can I be sure? It was only 300,000 errors. I only have a hunch that it's bad memory... I mean cmon.. only 300,000 .. if it had been 400,000 then for sure i would have known.. *grins

Generic RAM is not a good idea. Make sure the new stick is a good well known brand name.
