Audio CD jumps

My audio CDs always jump when playing them. The CD players upload normal data OK. Is there anything in the BIOS that needs to be set or anything on the motherboard. I have tried new IDE cables but this does not help.
Downloaded music plays fine.

Win XP
epox 8KHA+ with 512mb ddr 2100
Lite on LTN483S and MITSUMI CR 2801TE (CD)

Try cleaning its lense.
Maybe that helps. I once did this with a normal audio cd player, and it stopped skipping.
