pc/av or asio - what is best ?

What are the best drivers ? I have had an absolute nightmare getting
my midiman delta1010lt to run without getting crackles and pops at
intermitent times. It seems to run fine using asio drivers so I just
wondered if there was anything to bear in mind when using asio, appart
from the fact that logic gives me an error on start-up , not bothered
about that, as long as I can make music !
