i am also trying to locate acer empowering on windows 7.

You can find Acer's drivers here. You will have to go through 3 screens:
1) Product Family:Notebooks
2) Product Line: Aspire
3) Product Model: 6935G
Your Vista and Win7 Drivers will appear. Download and install them.

Be sure you've selected the drivers for your OS, e.g., Win7 Home Premium x32 or Win7 Home Premium x64. If you are not sure if you have 32-bit or 64-bit OS, try downloading both sets, and then try to install them.
