I could see this being very usefull in Canada.

Joking aside, what do you really think about this?

To me, at the very best this is just Bush listening to his drug company friends so they can gain more customers and get richer. Or [insert conspiracy theory here].

I didn't read the article really, but I'm really against medicating or self medicating. Drugs are a potent thing and I'm a firm believer in only using them when you need them and for the shortest period possible.

So basically I'm against any national medicating young person schemes instead of addressing the root problem like confoundicator stated above.

Realize that doctors are already prescribing ritilin and other drugs to every hyper kid out there so it's rather normal to medicate every kid that doesn't conform to their surroundings the way people want them to. Growing up we didn't drug up the hyper kids, we just didn't play with them since our parents wouldn't let us.

That's terrible. Drugs are not the solution...dealing with and conquering the problem is. I agree about the add- if a kid has it, spank em and make em do work. I too "have add" when it's a subject I hate- o well, I sit the fcuk down and study.

It's all part of his facist (think NAZI) agenda. While the Nazi's sought to exterminate the mentally ill, Bush realizes that would go over poorly with today's community, so instead he seeks to controll them. It's all part of their "Cradle to Grave" plan that will basically make the things that schools now try to do compulsory. Test everyone extensively and "encourage" them to do what "the state" believes they'd be best at. Think Pink Floyd's "Wall", think "Brave New World". Those who don't "get with the program" will be controlled by other means, including declaring them insane. Reasonable protesters will be silenced, only the whacky conspiracy theorist will be heard, to hide the truth as some lunacy dreamt up by crazy people.
