I have a Peavey VMP-2 that has seen plenty of usage since I bought it 4
or 5 years ago. I know it could benefit from some fresh tubes.

I'd be interested in hearing opinions on what kind of replacement tubes
people have tried, and what kind of a sound difference the changes
made.

Why?

I've got gear that has been in regular use for thirty years and doesn't need
new tubes.

The Peavey is just 12AX7/12AT7 stuff in there. The JJ tubes are good if
you actually need a replacement, which I doubt you do.

Okay fair enough. Let's try "might benefit from better tubes."
Thanks - John
