Hello, i greet everyone of you here, pls am purely a novice in IT and i need an assistance of genius here. how do i install a network point from a switch. Thanks

Do you mean an acess point ? Are you trying to set up a network or just connect computers and devices to the internet ? What do you have so far for connections ? Are you connected from the modem to a switch and now you want to go to a wireless acess point to connect wireless devices ?

Thanks for your response. am trying to connect 3 laptops to an existing access point and also there will be a printer added to the 3 laptops networks.

and again how do i install a cable from switch to workstation so as to make it browse.

When your saying that you want to install a cable from a switch to a workstation I'm assuming your talking about an ethernet cable. An ethernet cable comes with the Rj45 ends attached to both ends of the cable so all you have to do is plug it into the Lan port on the computer and the switch.
You have to measure how far it is from the switch to the computer and get an ethernet cable that is that length.

As you can see ethernet cable can come in all different lengths and prices and colors , you just have to decide wich price and length you want.
