Memory Question

Heya, i'm new to these boards, and I am interested in building my first computer, I've wanted to for a long time but time and other factors just led me into buying a pc instead of building it.

I would like to make a P4 system because pentiums are all I have had, I thought about AMD but people have said they overheat sometimes, I just dont want to risk it. I still dont know what motherboard I would get but I will go looking around shortly.

But as I was reading the posts I found something that I didnt get.

I read corsair is the best memory money can buy? I wanted to put DDR ram on my p4 system because from what I have read its the best, but if you would look at # 2 and # 3 on that link I put up, I really dont see a difference, whats the difference between them speedwise and such?

yup, corsair XMS PC3200 CL 2 is the best money can buy, and also mushkin... unlike my rig (AXP) extra bandwith on intel chips helps alot, I use XMS 3200 for overclocking purposes (what else can u do with that beefy bandwith on AMD rig?)

I see, but whats the difference between these 2 rams

and
