Upgrading again

My Sonicfury, even with latest drivers is now REALLY annoying me in games which include GTA3, Warcraft3 , Neverwinter Nights to name a few that I've played recently...

planning on swtiching for a new one, which do yous think is the better card at the mo, a Live 5.1 or the Fortissimo III 7.1, both are around the same price... any notions ???

is it summer already ??? oh, its just the heat haze coming off my PC...

I hear that SB Live have had some problems and I do not hear much negative for the Fortissimo III. You may want to check and see what kind of onboard sound you have, it might be just as good or better.

After so many complaints about the Live! series and for the fact that Fortissimo3 is newer (at least 2 years younger than Live!, it's recently been released IIRC), I suppose F3 would be much better.

std AC97 codec... thats why I got the S'fury... will go lookng for a couple of reviews of the 7.1 card as it is newest (and should have life still in so to speak...)
