I recently added 2 40gb Quantum Fireball Harddrives to my winxp system. I have an Abit KT7A-RAID Motherboard, which has 4 IDE Channels to connect cables to. I have one cable connecting my 20gb Drive to IDE Channel 1, and the 2 40gb drives are connected to IDE channels 2 & 3. and I have my DVD drive and CDRW drive connected to IDE Channel 4. The drives connected in IDE channel 1 & 2 work fine and are labeled IDE. But everything in IDE channels 3 & 4 are identified as SCSI. They still work, but because of them being labeled SCSI, I can't use certain programs such as Nero Burning Rom.
