Odd CD Rom problem..

I have 2 CD rom's in my setup, one is a burner (set as master), and the other is a slower normal cd rom (set as slave. The problem is, when I put a cd into the slave drive, I can view the files on the cd (in this case, a burnt cd), but I cannot copy the files to my computer's HD. Any ideas?

Well can it read all types of cd's?
or is it just ahving problems with one type of media (burnt cd's)
If its having problems with all i would say the drive optics may need cleaning.

It seems to be sometimes random a bit...I could try cleaning the things.
