Sound Recorder

Hello,
Im using windows 7 and im trying to use my sound recorder. i recorder some words, then i saved it and i tried to play it; it was playing but there was no sound it was just blank.

Did you set the default audio recoding device and adjust the levels.

You have to ensure you are setting recording and not playback devices.

In start search type Sound. then look for just Sound with a little speaker.

Select the Recording tab and ensure mic is set to default(right click and set it)

If you talk into the mic, you should see the little green bars light up(if they do not light up high enough double click the mic and try to adjust the levels).

You may have to restart sound recorder after setting this.
