I already made a thread about my other computer, but I thought that this would be a good time to make one about my main computer and its problems.

Once again, I can't find anything concrete on this subject so I wanted to ask all of you specifically.

Whenever I play games (World of Warcraft, League of Legends, DotA2, and other games) my computer occasionally does this weird thing where (in this order) the monitor will turn off, I can still talk on skype for a few seconds, then my computer locks up and all I can hear is the in game music and sounds infinitely looping.

This is a problem for me because most of these games are competitive and online, so when I crash my team and friends are likely to lose. For this reason, I have taken a break until I can solve this problem.

Here are my specs:

Operating System
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core i7 980 @ 3.33GHz 38 °C
Gulftown 32nm Technology
RAM
12.0 GB Triple-Channel DDR3 @ 802MHz (9-9-9-28)
Motherboard
Alienware 0XDJ4C (CPU 1) 23 °C

AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series (ATI) 51 °C
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series (ATI)
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series (ATI) 64 °C
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series (ATI) 71 °C

Hard Drives
1954GB ARRAY0 (RAID)
Optical Drives
PLDS DVD+-RW DH-24ABS SCSI CdRom Device
DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

It stays relatively cool when I play. The numbers here were a bit off for some reason. I usually get on average around 50 degrees celsius.
