cd rom broken after 9700

ok i installed the 9700 and ever since, my cdrom doesn't work
doesnt even get detected in bios
any ideaS?

damaged/dislodged the cable whilst you were installing you gfx card most likely...

is it summer already ??? oh, its just the heat haze coming off my PC...

Perhaps the 9700 is taking to much power from your system. What PSU rating do you have?

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy

A. you knocked or dislodged a cable

B. the graphics card takes too much power

C. there is some wierd IRQ conflict going on.
