Just built my first PC (fingers crossed) and I believe that I need to format my new hard drive before installing Windows. The only options I get when I boot from the WINXP CD is to either load Windows or exit. Will I get an option to format the hard drive if I choose Load Windows?
Good answer I was just about to say the same thing!

nonono what i meant was the only option was NTFS above 32GB. You can format NTFS with almost anything. You just can't do FAT32 from winxp setup over 32GB.

oh yeah. I know in circumstances you can get fat32 partitions over 32Gb in size, but who wants 64k cluster sizes? Yeeech!
Fat64 in the future maybe?
