So I've been on a couple of boards that have desktop threads. My question is what do I have to type in command line for it to show a logo of my OS with info about mobo, video card, shell, kernel, etc. I have no idea how I would go about doing it.
You're describing a feature that doesn't exist. If you want detailed information about your hardware, you'll need to use something other than the command line.
Astra32 has been my go-to tool for detailed hardware info, but I'm sure there are other tools. You can use dxdiag (launchable from the command line) to get less detailed info. Won't show you anything about your motherboard, for example.
If you have Windows 7, you can go to System Information. It should have most of the information regarding your components and other useful information.
