I recently purchased a Laptop from M-Tech and it came with no OS as I requested. I ordered it with a Toshiba 40Gig 5400rpm HDD which the BIOS reports just fine. When I installed Win2K on it, it reported 38Gigs instead of the 40Gigs. I know for a fact that the HDD values are not exact, but to have almost 2Gigs less of a difference is a bit too much. I mean I have a 40Gig HDD in my Desktop by IBM is only a couple of megabystes shy of 40Gigs. If there is someone out there that can shed some light into this It would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.
