Network router questions

I have a mini wireless "3g" router. Runs all the latest, 11n, g, etc., etc.. Works great when first turned on but if I'm inactive on my laptop the router looses its internet connection. My laptop is still connected to the router, as I can access the router software but no internet connection with a web page. If my torrent client is running, it works fine and stays connected. However, I can't open a web page, even while the torrent client is downloading. Is it a timeout on a port, possibly. I have several wireless routers and this it the only one I have this problem with. Running win7 Pro, Dell laptop, Avast AV, and ZoneAlarm

First thing to do is check the vendor of the router, did you?
