I cant delete my account off my computer

im trying to delete my old account off my computer and when i do delete file and continue it still shows up. i even restarted the computer and it still showed up. and when i try to create a new one it tells me i cant have certain characters like "/\|#* but none of those are in there.

Windows 7? Create a new user and make it administrator and remove the old one.

Fantastik 250 is right go to the control panel>users and make a new account with administrative rights reboot to that account and then you can delete the old one. If you want to go back to the old account do this again.
